Okay, okay.

I'm baaaaaack.
Again.
So since the last time that I commited myself to lose weight I actually GAINED ten pounds. 
WHO DOES THAT?
Me, I guess.
What can I say, I like food, okay?
But as of two Tuesdays ago, (August 7th) I am officially back in the game. 
This time I'm part of a group. And we all know that that helps.
It's a BIG group. It's basically Brett's whole family. Cousins and all.
So I'm happy to say that I've lost 6 of those 10 pounds that I gained. 
YAY!
That's motivating. 14 more to go. By Christmas. I got this, right?
Brett is in on it too, so it's nice to both be committed and help each other out. 
I've been counting calories and working out everyday. 
I've been planning healthy meals and snacks. That really helps.
The toughest part is eating out. But so far, the few times that I did eat out, I was able to make healthy choices instead of the oh so very delicious french fries.
I found that my biggest problem was "treating" myself with food. 
If I had a hard day... food. 
If I was celebrating... food.
If I was on a GNO (this happens weekly, mind you)... FOOD. Way too much, usually.
So this time I gave myself FIVE days between the beginning of my diet and Christmas that I can "cheat" and have one meal that is not within my calories.

Those days are:
Palm Springs (our upcoming vacation)
Brett's birthday 
My Temple Square Reunion in October (can't waiiitttt!)
Halloween
Thanksgiving

Hopefully this will help me to have something to look forward to instead of always feeling deprived.
Pinterest has been a great place for me to organize a place for healthy meals. 
But, dang! It's also SUPER hard this time of year to see all the "fall" recipes that are so, SO not diet-friendly. I might have to just stop following those boards.

Good luck! I am at the end of my rope trying to figure out my body after having kids...it just doesn't want to cooperate and I am so frustrated. Nothing I did before seems to be working and I guess I just need to accept the fact I can't lose weight as easily as I did before. Tough pill to swallow right there.
